FCY was on again tonight, and it was a larger scale evening at the Gainesville Campus because we had a guest speaker, a former NFL player that was here to talk to the teens from all the campuses that could attend. So the Georgia campuses came in shuttles and buses, and of course we weren't that far away, so Maddie came to be there and join in on things.
It was a full day, and a late night too. We're super busy at the office, getting ready for so many things. We've got our Easter production, a new campus opening this weekend, a skating event coming up, and we're frantically working on this new series we're hoping to have wrapped up in just a few weeks, at least from the book angle. We've got a big banner designed, and we're writing the devotional still. It's challenging to get it done in time, but we're happy to face it because we don't want the month of April to be just "filler" until we get to May's series, "Kung Pow." We're doing a new series called "Good News," and it's going to be really fun.
The pollen is here. The Bradford pears in our yard, and those at the martial arts studio too, are super smelly. It's a wonderfully awful stench, so pungent and strong. This is that time of year where we pray for rain more often, if only to drive the pollen and stench down and clear the air somewhat.
We read tonight and we prayed too. It was a decent day, but it's time to get a good night's rest.
