Mommy and Daddy were at the martial arts school today to watch Madison at practice, and you can see here she's showing good form. We brought the camera along with us and snapped a few pictures of everyone during practice tonight.
You can see Mr. Edge here instructing the kids as they go through several drills hitting the big cushions. They were doing kicks and strikes, along with other drills and exercises. But the kicks are always fun to watch.
The class is big again, lots of kids running through the different exercises, but the most fun Madison had was when they all brought out the combat sticks and did some sparring with those. She was having a great time, "because we get to hit each other!"
Anyway, that part of the day was fun. Not as much fun, but necessary, Madison spent a good deal of time studying for two different tests tomorrow. One was easier, something she's memorized by this point: the Middle Eastern map we posted here yesterday. The other more complicated thing involves all the math she had to study tonight. She was getting good grades with her testing online tonight, so tomorrow when the real deal comes around, hopefully we'll see her do well again. She certainly put in the effort studying tonight.
It was Taco Tuesday today, but we also had some taquitos on the way home. Or, at least Madison did. We saw a beautiful rainbow over the house when we got home - the skies were darkened with rain elsewhere, but we saw very little of it. Nevertheless, Daddy was out there watering all the new plants that the grandparents put in the ground.
We read tonight from the devotional and the Star Wars book again, and things are looking tense here for Princess Leia and Chewbacca. We'll have to see what happens next, but the girls are really into this one, and we very well may finish reading the third book in this series immediately afterwards. It has certainly captured their imagination.
For now, it's time for bed. Daddy is reading a book about Billy the Kid lately, and Mommy is doing a bit of online research. Madison is fast asleep, after calling out good night and humming the Imperial March when she sees her infuser light turn that dark red color. We prayed tonight for Ba-Ba and for Madison's tests tomorrow, that all will turn out okay. And I believe they will!
