Back to School Bash 2019

You can see Daddy here in this large group picture of our annual Back to School Bash.  It was a great night, a part of our celebration to help ease the kids' pain of having to actually go back to school.  Of course, for many of the kids here, it isn't that painful to go back to school.  But this is still a good deal of fun, and look at some of our newest volunteers:

Yes, that's Madison in the midst of our volunteers, as one of the volunteers now.  All the girls are wearing their volunteer vests now, helping out kids, and guiding some others too:

Here you can see Madison with our new friends from a church in Bangor, Maine.  They've been with us the last few days, and this evening was their last with us at KidPak.  They had a great time, just like all the kids.  In fact, you can see Madison brought them with her on the pirate ship ride.

It was perfect weather.  In fact, the rain was coming in from a distance, and by the time the crew had disassembled all the rides and inflatables, the first drops were starting to come down.  It was all cleared just in time.  The kids - and adults - had a memorable time though, just as these things always are.

Madison got home a little later, and was working on her homework into the evening some.  It's already a lot of homework, and we're just getting started on the year.  Yikes!
