Believe it or Not!

We had a fun little day today, one starting out with church, of course.  It was our last morning of the "Tribes" series, one that went well in both services.  The first service, Daddy preached and it was a bit on-the-spot, a last-minute change of plans.  But it worked out well, and the service as a whole a good one.  Madison was serving this morning, enjoying the service as well, and keeping on her feet for the whole morning.  She was playing some foosball with a few other volunteers in the morning, and over the course of the morning we were also meeting about the Toy Story series, working on costuming ideas and maybe even a few overall story thoughts.  It was a great morning at church, a blessing for the kids, and a lot of productivity behind the scenes too.  We're so blessed to have the volunteers that we have, those actors coming in to talk about the story and help with costuming and ideas.

Madison did some piano when she got home, and she's really getting good with it.  Obviously better than either her parents, and just able to read sheet music and go through it without taking so  many notes, just playing the songs as written and doing better the first time through than she's ever done before.  Over time, if she keeps this up, she's going to be fantastic.  I'm so glad to hear this in the house, as is Mommy.  We listen to her practice, and we're both loving the sound of a piano playing well inside the house.  She's doing great!

We played a board game tonight, one that lasted a little longer than expected. But it was fun, believe it or not.  The game is set up like a standard trivia game, with a bit of globetrotting involved.  Players have to pick up the right visas and collect them by answering the questions correctly.  This was somewhat of a challenge, as the visas are randomly drawn from a pile of visas.  The end result can be a long wait to get to one particular continent's visas, but until that time, there are a bunch of questions and each one is related to some super odd factoid.  For example, the origin of the doughnut hole.  We learned why doughnuts have holes in them tonight, or at least one of the first stories explaining that.  We learned some other things, as Madison was traveling across the Southern Pacific to Australia, and Mommy spending her time in South America and Daddy making it over to Asia.  In the end, once again, Mommy and Madison pretty much were in a tie.  Believe it or not, we have two different "Ripley's Believe it or Not" board games downstairs.  We'll try the other one next time I think.

We started season two of "Agent Carter" tonight, just plowing along with our Marvel fest here.  Madison really likes Agent Carter, and so do we.   We popped some of that new popcorn, and watched an episode, and then got ready for bed.  We read another chapter from the book, said our prayers, and not much later, all of us were fast asleep...
