We have a fall tree after all! Mom has this tree in our bedroom decorated for fall, and it looks very nice in there. Mom has been putting out other fall decor, and I've been spotting pumpkins at some pretty low prices, picking them up here or there to have ready for carving either at the party, or maybe just randomly throughout the month of October. It's almost here!
Speaking of which, I got another few more miles in on the treadmill, on the Corpse Bride path, and got a few new characters, Finis and Madeline Everglot. Finis is one of my favorite animated characters, just because of his peculiar shape. I've been watching VHS movies while on the treadmill, and that's been fun - I just started "Mousehunt," possibly because we just saw "The Producers." Whatever the case, the latest treadmill workouts have been fun with the different creative paths in mind.
We had a big night tonight at the Divine Conference, so it was a big amount of time and energy put into a huge event at the church with thousands of people in from everywhere.
I was there, but Maddie didn't go tonight because she has a persistent cough, something that's annoyed her for the past week or so. So she didn't go too taekwondo or to the Divine Conference. Everyone was okay with that, of course, as they want to make sure she's okay.
We did have time to watch a half-hour seasonal thing tonight, "Toy Story of Terror," which is a yearly classic. It's so well done, and such a fun thing. Glad to squeeze it in tonight! And also glad to squeeze in some more of our latest book, "Feet of Clay."
Here we are at the very end, and now we know largely what's going on with the villainous plot to rule Ankh-Morpork once more. It's been a fun read, but I'm anxious to re-visit some of these next books, which I read so long ago that I really don't remember as much from them. We'll likely wrap up this book tomorrow, but tonight it was good to see the villain go down, although because he's a vampire, his status is in up in the air. One thing is certain, he'll regret the day Commander Sam Vimes was put in charge of the City Watch.
We said our prayers tonight, and got some sleep. It was a busy day today with lots of work at this conference. Tomorrow looks to be a longer experience, but we'll be good to go! Maddie will come with me and likely head over to Nate's place and join up with Team Edge as well. She'll have a better day tomorrow.
