Wow. Mom and I went to Braselton to the warehouse so we could find this old car here, a blast from the past. This foam creation is seventeen years old or so, something we had on our KidPak stage for a Hot Wheels series that might even predate when we went over to China to get Maddie. We've had this in a warehouse ever since, if you can believe that. And I wanted to make sure it didn't get forgotten about as we return to our car-themed series. We got a few other items here too - a whole bunch of road signs that pastor actually used in his "Warning Signs" message some time ago.
Moving on, we were in Braselton, so we were happy to do our traditional stop to grab a bite to eat at Cracker Barrel.
The place was very quiet. It's a Tuesday at 4:30, so we'll assume that's why. Surely everyone's moved past the boycotting - last week Cracker Barrel announced they were bringing the old logo back, and doing a bunch of other things as well so that a lot of boycotting customers would come back. It's sad if people don't come back, because we really like this restaurant. We spotted some nice items in the store, and things were nice and quiet today with just beautiful weather outside, so Mom and I sat in rocking chairs outside for a spell. It was a very nice visit.
Maddie had the day off today, as her weekend was really busy with Camp FCY. She slept in and had a relaxing day at home. Tonight we watched "Thunderbolts*" for the first time, and it wasn't too bad. I still like "Fantastic Four" better, but there were some big moments in the movie - it's worth watching.
We read from Discworld again after this, and after that, it was time for prayers, and sleep. Good day!
