Maddie was at school this morning again, and part of that was a special guest - the students. Dr. Rich teased something special, and then treated everyone to something from Starbuck's.
There's been a good camaraderie with the students, and Maddie's been enjoying school. Except perhaps the bit where she was called out for missing a small thing and having to do a "walk of shame" with other students. It was a fun moment, and of course she'll remember what she missed from this point on. "Someone who's dad is on staff and has a black belt in karate missed this one!"
Mom and I were at the office today, working around the office, but also having an online meeting with our health advisor as we continue on with our new detox program. Things are moving along there, and we're helping each other as we keep taking supplements and watch what we eat.
We had taekwondo tonight, and Maddie was there having fun as always. Nate wasn't there, as he's been injured recently. Still, Maddie dropped by to spend about 40 minutes with Nate afterwards, which was nice. Afterwards, we got home and watched "Hotel Transylvania 3," closing out that series of movies this year, and to celebrate, I was wearing my Dracula Hawaiian shirt today, a wonderful gift from Mom.
I'll be wearing it a few times this year, a fun shirt that if anyone recognizes it, there's some laughs. It's great! It's such a fun movie, a different pace and a more relaxing story - just like an actual cruise. These movies have a special place in my heart!
Back in the Discworld tonight, we read more from Nobby Nobbs and Fred Colon, and Samuel Vimes too. It's been great to read this one again, and it's been a long time so I'm sort of remembering things as we move along. We're enjoying it.
We closed out the day with prayers and a good night's rest!
