This morning, we had a big breakfast, and the treat for Mommy was the chef making her gluten-free Mickey waffles. Daddy and Madison had the waffles too, which were a real treat. Better yet, they really filled the tummy. We cleaned up the hotel room and packed up, and this morning said goodbye once again to the land of Disney.
No stops on the way home this time - we were a bit exhausted. Daddy even got some caffeinated beverages for the trip home, and off we went. Just barely, we made the state line to get gas - the difference in price is what it used to be: around a twenty-five cent difference in cost, with Florida's gas prices much higher. Prices are going down a bit, but then again the elections are just around the corner. We'll see how that lasts after the first week of November.
The drive home was quiet, mainly because Mommy and Madison spent a lot of time sleeping. This was okay, as we were up pretty late last night. Or this morning, if you put it that way.
Madison spotted the B Resort this trip a few times, as we went to SeaWorld, or as we were leaving this morning. She'd shout it out for all of us to hear. We spotted all the landmarks as we were leaving the area, from the Tower of Terror to the big balloon that floats over Downtown Disney. Also, the clock tower in Perry, where we were at the Georgia National Fair last year. It was quiet at the fairgrounds, the fair already come and gone for the year.
We stopped at a few rest areas to get around and walk, but that was pretty much it for our journey. We got home after enduring a bit of rush hour traffic in Atlanta, and everything is as it was. We trudged into the house, quite tired from the exciting weekend, and pretty much went to bed right away. It was a nice get away. A quick one, but still nice.
