Yelling "Fudge!" at Cobras (in North America)

Today is "Yell Fudge at Cobras (in North America)" Day, which is complete nonsense, but just the sort of game that worked out perfectly for Camille's small group tonight.  I created this game where different images popped up, and the girls competed to see who would be the first to yell either "fudge" or "candy" at various images that showed up on their screens.  If it was any other animal than a cobra, they'd yell "candy!" If it was a cobra, of course they'd all yell, "fudge!"  Its as wacky, and Maddie said it turned out pretty fun, and it was pretty different too, of course.

Today she had a lot of taekwondo.  Tonight was leadership class, right after a class where she assists in instructing some of the younger students.  Leadership class features the bo staff again, and she's getting acclimated to her new bo staff.  The color looks nice, and she's gotten some compliments on it.  It's lighter and there's a rubber handle in the middle to make the grip stronger, and it spins much easier than the earlier one she's been using.  She's just got to get used to it, and of course that was one thing she was doing with her Team Edge practice even earlier in the day.  This afternoon, she and the other students were rehearsing the routine they'll be doing at Summer Xtreme.  I just so happened to be in a Zoom meeting for Summer Xtreme while this was going on, so I could swivel the computer around and show everyone the students practicing for the routine that would be seen by the kids in just one week.

Our garden work continues.  It won't be long before we put out the gnomes and fairy garden, and Mom put down the squares for the "chessboard" in the back yard near the "Alice" section.  I spent a good deal of time watering today - those pumpkin plants are really growing!  We've got a lot of peppers on one of our plants too, and there's a large regular pepper growing on one of the other plants too.  Oh, and tomatoes are popping up on the plants too, and that's great to see.  "Little dude," our bonsai tree, is doing well, as is the other bonsai we intend to give to Ye-Ye soon enough.  All the planted things are doing well, particularly in the back yard.  It's coming along great!

I've been writing for Summer Xtreme today.  Super busy and somewhat stressed with that because of the time limitations, and the inability to find a moment's peace to actually do the writing.  The treadmill time has gone down in a major way, so I need to get back to that.  But tonight we all got a good night's rest.  We read from our book, which is winding down now, and we said our prayers.  And just for good measure, we went to the front door, looked for any cobras, and yelled out "Fudge!"
