Patriotic Porch

It was a much quieter day today, but we got some decorations up on the front porch - or, better said - Mom got the front porch decorated.  We bought a new doormat, and Mom hung up the bunting above the doorway there, versus its usual location on the railway over there.  Actually, it looks a bit more balanced there now, and that's great.  You can also see the pinwheels, the star there, and a new painted patriotic board there atet says "WELCOME."  Oh, and the wreath too!  It all looks pretty good.  We also got out some other yard decorations too, setting up Gnome Town again.

We got the garden gnomes out and they're currently populating their old home.  We don't have any new gnomes this year, but we did get some new additions to our Fairy Village, which we now have set up nearby the garden gnomes.  Here below are just a few little stops in the Fairy Village, including some new ones.

We got all kinds of new mulch for the side of the house and some flowerbeds, and we also planted a few new things, including lavender and other plants.  We're creating a river of stones along one side of the house, so I was back-and-forth to Wal-mart to get mulch and stones, but it's going to look pretty good when it all gets wrapped up.  The water goes along that path anyway, so we thought the stones along that path should look pretty nice there.  Plus, the idea is to put an actual bridge down there too.  Slow but sure, the yard work is coming along!

This morning we did have Team Edge, where Maddie was once again practicing for another run-through this upcoming Monday at Gwinnett's Summer Xtreme Nights.  We got some boba tea after that, of course, a new addition of ours lately.

Tonight we finally saw the first episode of "Ms. Marvel," which everyone enjoyed.  Maddie and I were playing video games a bit tonight too, and all of us were pretty tired from working inside out out.  We were also setting up for service tomorrow morning, believe it or not.  Full day.

We started the next book with the "Mysterious Benedict Society," and here we go again on another adventure.  It should be a pretty fun read.  We said our prayers, and soon after that, we were ready for bed.  Got to get up early tomorrow for church!
