Moonbow

Okay, tonight we saw something I'd never seen before, or even heard of before.  We called it a "moonbow," although it's probably known technically as a "lunar rainbow."  We were at the very edge of a very sharp line of rain - one moment it was perfectly dry, and the next there was an incredible deluge.  We could still see the clear sky, and right there through all of this we saw the arc of light in front of us.  I thought it was from the headlights or our windshield, so we actually got out of the car to make sure our eyes weren't messing around with us!

They weren't.  This was so odd - we looked it up when we got home, and sure enough, it was the real deal.  What an odd thing to end our night.

As for the rest of the day, it was Summer Xtreme Nights once more, our "Summer Xtreme Light" for 2022.  We're hoping to start up Summer Xtreme in earnest next year, but for now this free event was super fun, and it all worked out well.

Team Edge was there, and this is the only picture we got of them for tonight.  Maddie had been practicing for quite some time with the rest of the team, and they even got there early for practice - all of it went very, very well.  You knew it was going to be a huge hit when the team was lined up before the performance and the crowd went bonkers with noise.  They did their choreographed routine, and it was super good!

The rest of the night went just as well!  We're super tired, but we had hundreds of kids there - I think maybe close to 700 kids - and the entire night was fantastic.  Maddie and I came home soaking wet from that sudden rain assault tonight, but we went home quite happy with the day's event.

We read tonight, and yeah, not long after that we were asleep!
