Wildfire's Back

Our service turned out really well this morning, of course the start of a new series.  The new books were great, and the new game format that we filmed this week in the neighborhood was super fun too.  Madison helped film that, and some of her footage showed up in the final product, which was pretty cool.  It was a good service too, with a great message about saving people from the fire.

I was doing quite a bit of work in the back yard today, a lot of mowing and a general tidying up before our upcoming vacation.  Madison was playing piano some, and talking with friends as well.  She was also practicing her crochet on top of things.  Mommy was cooking up some tasty treats, including peach jam.  I got some peaches from the produce place earlier, and Mommy peeled the peaches and made some of the greatest jam you can taste.  It was so good that some of the extra peaches she used to glaze pieces of salmon with, cooking them up very nicely.  It was a sumptuous feast, with a tasty dessert and lots of peach flavoring to go around!

We had a good day today, although it was another scorcher.  We haven't had rain here in a few days, so the plants are anxious for some more water.  I gave them that this morning, after laying down more mulch and getting the backyard in proper condition.  It's an ongoing process, but we were also taking care of those tasty vegetables.  I even got a few tomatoes off the vine, which we'll bring to Florida with us.

Speaking of Wildfire, tonight we were back with that hero that has a wildfire on his head.  Ghost Rider and the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. were on the television again for a few episodes, and we're moving along with season four rather quickly.  We'll have to look into season five soon enough, because we're going through this one super fast.  Madison is quite addicted!

We read tonight as well, more from "Wings," as the main characters climb aboard a Concorde plane, which Mommy and I were reminiscing about.  Not that we've ever been on one, but for a time, that was the premiere flight over the Atlantic, and of course an unusual sort of jet plane, at least appearance.

Tonight's prayers we were for Ba-Ba, of course, and for others that are feeling sick.  I'm even working through something at the moment, the usual lung stuff.  We said our prayers, and all the other routines of each night.  And soon enough, we were all asleep.  It's noisy outside with cicadas and frogs - and it's super humid.  We're glad to have the air conditioning and ceiling fans, that help us through these hot Georgia summers.
