We continued with our taekwondo tonight, and as you can see, Daddy was still snapping a few pictures of Madison in training.
She sets up the mat and gets everything ready, putting her gear on and treating this just like a class where she's actually there in the studio. The end result was that tonight she earned her first stripe!
While we're in the studio, the students earn three stripes before they get to the new belt ranking. Tonight, Madison and another student Andrew both earned their first stripe. They got this animated message above in a message later on, and it was a pretty cool moment in this online experience.
It's Spring Break, and just like last week, we're not going anywhere. The only difference between this week and last week is a break from the oppression of school work. Madison was on her phone playing games a good bit today, but she was also doing piano work, and actually a lot of housecleaning. Yes, Madison was cleaning out her closet a good bit, removing certain things and keeping others, and just making some room.
We were planning out our Easter service a bit more today, and we may be filming a few more bits upcoming, but that's good news, because we'll be able to get in and get that Easter Bunny costume. No doubt you'll see that show up again here soon.
Episode II was tonight's second entry in the Star Wars marathon that we find ourselves in. We got to see some of the characters and vehicles that Madison has been building with LEGO pieces, including the B2 battle droids and the Hailfire droid. We also got to hear about sand.
It was a nice relaxing day at home. Daddy has been working on a new series, one entirely based on the "Big Hero 6" team members. I've finished the prison series, a good four-part series based on people in the Bible thrown in jail.
Tonight, we read from our usual books, although Daddy was tempted to read this as a bedtime story too:
Mommy got this one for him last Easter. It's pretty funny, an imagining of our President in a bunny rabbit story. I'll just leave that one there.
We of course continued with our devotional, and we're nearing the end of our "Thrawn" book, this one taking a bit longer to get through, but it's been good, a story with Anakan, Padme, and of course Thrawn. It also features battle droids, so there's that.
So despite the quarantine, we're still getting things done, and that's good. It's Holy Week, and Passover is here as well. The symbolism of all of us remaining in our homes as a plague passes over is not lost on any of us. It's certainly a unique time for all of us.
