Here's the moment that it was announced Madison got a role in the play today. She got an email earlier today, and in that email it was announced that she got a speaking role. There were quite a few people there, and it was a nice moment as one by one, the various parts were announced for "Holly."
Here's the group - or at least most of them - as they are getting the scripts for the the production and reading them for the first time. Madison is in the back there, carefully looking for her lines, as is everyone else.
The actors were taken to another room, and here they did their first read-through, which turned out well. It's a special group, and it's just neat for Madison to be a part of it. Of course, Daddy is too, although reluctantly. I'd rather let someone else have the limelight this time around, but it appears as if I will be playing the villain again!
There were some acting lessons after that, and some prayer too. Madison is going to be fully immersed in acting lessons and the essence of what it takes to be involved in a production, all for the next several weeks. And this play will be on a much larger scale than a high school or middle school play. This will be in front of thousands, and it's a little intimidating. But there will be a lot of practices, and Madison is excited about these times spent learning.
She was up early again - as were all of us - in order to get to school for the Live to Give efforts, collecting stuffing for families for Thanksgiving. And school went well today, with Madison happy to be done with her project on Lebanon, and also pleased to see how easy it is to learn how to do "slopes" in math. But her most fun was tonight, at her first Christmas play practice this year.
We read tonight, traveling into Narnia, and after that we read from our devotional. We've been getting mixed news about Ba-Ba, sometimes good and sometimes bad. The news early this week has not been good, but our prayers all along have been the same. We'll see him and Nana soon enough, as we're here at the season of Thanksgiving.
We went to bed tonight, after zerberts and the theme song to the Imperial Defuser. It was easy to get to sleep tonight, as everything seems later than it really is due to the added hour from Daylight Savings Time. It gets darker earlier, and that's okay. We just snuggle up in bed under the warm covers, and it doesn't take long to go off to sleep.
