This is Jeremiah. Or is it George? Ba-Ba keeps the joke going that this dolphin's name is George, and Madison keeps correcting him that the name is Jeremiah. As you can see above, Jeremiah is wearing a fashionable little top to keep warm, which of course is reasonable as the weather is getting cooler at night now. Jeremiah has been on the screen when we've been talking to the grandparents, and to Mommy as well. This video communication has been great - it's like Mommy is right there with us, helping us along throughout the day. Here she is below, posing with Madison for her morning photo at the fireplace.
Yeah, she's been a bit help! We carry her around the house, and it kind of reminds you of Arnim Zola or Krang from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. But it's been great to have her here, and we have long conversations about our day here, and her day there. Her day there wasn't the best, but at least it's a start - once again, the VA hospital system has shown how inadequate they are with cancer patients. In this case, the long wait became longer because of the lack of coordination between the radiation department and the chemotherapy department. We still haven't heard from the radiation department. And when Ba-Ba, Nana and Mommy arrived at the chemotherapy location today, they forgot that they hadn't done a particular blood test, and the end result was an additional five-hour wait there at the hospital before they ever got started with the actual chemotherapy. It's been one story like this after another.
But he went through it, and got home afterwards and seems to be doing okay, except for the being tired part. That's part of it though, and that's what Mommy went through as well.
Otherwise, things are okay there in Florida. Ba-Ba is a fighter, and with Mommy's help, I think he can make this.
So Halloween is coming up, and I spotted it in this movie I watched for the first time tonight, "Mr. Mom." Given the latest developments at home, I thought it only appropriate to finally see another Mr. Mom. Of course, it's not that bad here. And hopefully it can stay that way. But a lot of people have been offering help, including Nana and Ye-Ye, who dropped by to catch up for a while. We talked for a bit, which was nice.
Madison had piano class tonight, and she studied a lot of science after that, looking into biomes. In this biome that we live in, the weather is getting cooler outside, and everyone is enjoying it. Finally it is starting to feel like fall!
We read tonight with Mommy nearby, and we prayed together, of course for Ba-Ba. Maybe soon he'll be able to come up here to enjoy some of this cooler weather. Or... at least to see Jeremiah.
