Madison met Abbie again tonight - they grow up so fast! We've known Abbie's parents since long before the 90's, and obviously long before we met Abbie and her sister Rachel. Madison used to spend more time with them, but after they moved and started attending the Gwinnett campus, that slowed down somewhat. Madison barely recognized and barely remembered Abbie tonight, but Abbie remembered Madison.
Ah, there's Big Foot again. It's another Big Foot sighting, and it looks like he has a few companions as well here in this photo. Today we took our visiting pastor guest to the Gainesville Square, where there's a pretty decent pizza place, one that's always busy by the way. But we were pleasantly surprised to see all these scarecrows on the square... and this Big Foot too. We had a good day today, doing our small group activities, and planning a little bit for our Christmas play. Also, we did a lot planning for this weekend's service.
Madison was there at the church tonight, although she was not at the service. She's spent the last two Wednesday night services in my office, doing homework. Tonight, she was reading her book, "Refuge," and spending a lot of time working on a report she's writing on Lebanon.
We got home later, and didn't have as much time for reading. But we did pray with Mommy on the computer, and there's always time for virtual zerberts, and our new tradition, the Imperial Diffuser.
This diffuser changes colors from green to blue to purple... to red. When it turns red in the darkened room, Madison immediately starts singing out the Imperial March from Star Wars. And of course Daddy does too. We've been doing this for a while now so that right after prayers and zerberts, sure enough, we point the computer screen at the diffuser so Mommy can see... and we all blurt out the Imperial March, as Mommy laughs. It's pretty funny.
If Darth Vader had an diffuser on his star destroyer, I'm sure it would look pretty similar to this one. It might even be a small mobile robot one that follows him around, beeping and sending out pleasant aromas. We'll have to come up with a name for it. Maybe GR8-SML or something like that...
