Closing the Toy Box

One last morning for our "Toy Box" series at KidPak this morning, and one last visit with our sheep.  Madison and her friends had fun this morning, as did everyone else - it was a pretty solid morning.  We just may have saved the best of the series for last - the skit was pretty fun, and our "claw" game was fun too.  Finally, Daddy finished up the service with a good message on what the aliens said, "we are chosen," and a message about not being fearful.

It was a fun morning, a great way to wrap up our series.  It's been fun!  It's been a little difficult to write, but in the end, it turned out well, particularly the messages themselves and the small group activities.  In fact, we still have one more small group night left of this series, so we'll be looking for some new ideas on Wednesday night for that.  A few already are there - that part has come easy with such a rich story and characters.

The rest of our day was shorter, as we spent a lot of it at church today.  We were meeting with the children's pastor from our California campus, and spending time with folks catching up.

We got home, and Daddy did something amazing:  the laundry.  Yes, Daddy's now doing laundry, given that Mommy is in Florida and can't do that task here.  But she's been guiding us on the computer, and in the end, the darks are done.  The lights and whites are tomorrow.  This is a big deal!

We cooked up some lunch today too, and we're managing.  But we do miss Mommy, of course.  But we also get to spend time with her on the computer throughout the day.  Today we were even watching some television with her again, this time watching "Mater and the Ghost Light," along with "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown."  We set the computer up on a ladder, right near the television so Mommy can see and hear the same thing we're watching at the same time in the living room.  Madison makes popcorn, and it's a decent way to make the best of a situation.  We can all watch an October-themed movie together.

Madison was finishing up her work with Syria - a bit of homework in that area.  She also got a bath, and worked on her piano practice some.  For that, Nana and Ba-Ba were on the computer this time, listening in, watching her play.  We read together tonight afterwards, and prayed together, and then wished Mommy a good night.

All of us went to bed early, as it's been a full weekend!  So... g'night!
