Madison was back at the Georgia Aquarium today, this time with a school field trip. Her entire grade went down the the aquarium, a frequent destination of Madison's these last several years. This visit was to support her science class, and she did have a lot of fun today. They went to see the dolphin show, and this time Madison didn't sit in the splash zone, unlike the last time she saw the show and got absolutely drenched! But this time was more of careful visitation, hanging back some and enjoying the show at a more conservative distance. The show was great, and she said she got to see all the other exhibits today. It was cold and rainy outside, but the buses didn't have any trouble navigating into Atlanta and getting the kids to that underwater destination safely. They ate while they were there, and they got back in time for dismissal, although Madison wasn't leaving school just yet. She had Live to Give today after school - they counted the coins they gathered last week for Trees for Troops, and wound up with enough to get six or seven trees for military families. Great job to all the kids who volunteered - and of course those who donated!
Tonight, we were at taekwondo, making for a pretty full day. Mommy was grocery shopping while Madison was using nunchucks, and Daddy was planning for this weekend and for Christmas with a few others from KidPak. We were pretty active tonight!
Madison was studying for a math test tonight, but right after that she was getting ready for bed - we read our story, and said our prayers too, praying for Ba-Ba and Nana. He's maintained his weight, so that was a spot of good news today. He seemed to be in good spirits and was happy to talk to Madison tonight, so we're quite encouraged by that.
It was a full day, and Daddy is pretty tired so I'm going to stop typing now, and I think we're going to watch a Halloween special - maybe that Paul Lynde Halloween Special will be fun to watch tonight. That's a fun one...!
