Engine Room Wedding

We were at a wedding today, one for a good friend of ours from KidPak.  Megan, above, got married at this pretty neat place down in Monroe, Georgia.  It's called "The Engine Room," and it had a great  industrial look about it.

We drove down after church, and got there in plenty of time.  Daddy was taking a few candid pictures along the way during the ceremony and of guests and so forth.  We have friends who are the official photographers, and they did a splendid job.  The whole wedding was a wonderful event, in fact.  Daddy took a few snapshots along the way as well, including this one of the first dance...

And here's one of the later dances, one where you can see the enthusiastic father of the bride having fun in the middle there.

Daniel is one of our volunteers too, and it was so great to see him today, so full of joy and energy.  It's also one of those bittersweet moments for the father of the bride, isn't it.  There were a few dads there of little girls, and we were trying hard not to think about it!

Here's a picture of Madison at the Engine Room window.  There were several windows, but this one had just enough daylight to make a nice photograph.  Actually there were a few good spots for pictures - you can see Mommy and Daddy in this one below:

We were posing for Madison, who took this photo of us together.  It was nice, and as you can see, Mommy looked lovely as always.  In fact, Daddy didn't stop taking pictures of her today.  Here's another photo, one of many, many, many...

And here's another photo of one of our beauties.  The light streaming in through the windows made for some very nice shots with the camera, especially with such pretty faces!

Can we share one more of Mommy?  Of course we can!

It was a nice wedding, and as you might expect, that took up a good portion of our day.  We did have another KidPak service this morning, and Madison had a few lines as well.  She did very well on stage, as did the other actors.  We drove down immediately afterwards with Mary Shannon, who went to the wedding with us also.

Getting home, we had enough time to see a movie, so Madison chose "Christmas of Many Colors," which was another good movie in our Christmas series, a newer entry in fact.  That was nice, and then so was reading from our books before bedtime.  Mr. Grin is in the picture, in "Peter and the Starcatchers," and things are getting pretty interesting there.  We said our prayers and soon after all of us were fast asleep.  It was quite a day today, a pretty full one, but a very nice small adventure.
