We went to the chiropractor this morning, the three of us first thing this week. It was a good week to go, as Madison is off of school this week. Yes, we slept in, and did so mightily! But we did get up at a reasonable hour to go off to Cumming to head to the chiropractor. It was fun to see him as always, and Madison loves hanging out there. The waiting room game continues, which is basically one where we each take our turn coming up with a Star Wars name that starts with each letter of the alphabet. First, we do the letter A, each taking a turn, and then the letter B, and so on. Example: Admiral Ackbar comes first, then Boba Fett, Then Chewbacca, Dengar, Ewoks, Finn, General Grevous, Han Solo, IG-88, Jakku, Ki Adi Mundi, Lobot, Mace Windu, Nikto, Oola, Padme, Qi'ra, Rancor Monster, Supreme Leader Snake, Tusken Raiders, Utapau, Ventress, X-Wing, Yak Face, and Zam Wesell.
Anyway, it's completely random. And Madison wants to do this each time at the chiropractor's waiting room, to the point that the brain scrambles to remember certain letter ones as we're walking through the front door!
The appointment didn't last long today, and we were off and running to the grocery store, and also to Hobby Lobby to get some Christmas lights. The lines there were immense! But we did get our lights and in fact began putting them on today.
But before we went home, we stopped by Parsons again to check out their Christmas decorations and villages. It's somewhat of a tradition to do that, and we actually spent a little more time there than usual. Last year, we got a Christmas wand from there, and this year we picked up a few gift items for others.
But soon we were home, and it was there that Nana and Ba-Ba arrived shortly afterwards. It was a wonderful reunion, and everyone is doing just fine. We ate together, and did some catching up as well. Earlier this month, we went to Taste of Britain to purchase a lot of candies and treats from across the pond, so as could be expected, Nana was delighted to see all of it. She was also anxious to share. Madison tried her first Turkish delight today, and of course Daddy was reminding her about the candy's role from "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe."
She didn't remember, so I think we'll have to check out the movie again. But she did enjoy the candies, as did all of us. There were biscuits - or cookies - and all kinds of goodies in there, and it was a rather sweet moment, in more ways than one.
Speaking of "sweet," we watched "Elf" together tonight, all while Daddy was hanging up ornaments on the tree. He didn't finish yet, but all the lights are on the tree, something like 800 by my last count. That's a lot of lights! Anyway, we were hanging ornaments and enjoying a Christmas movie together - it's just the perfect thing to do this time of year!
