This morning we were at the "Holiday Market" at the middle school, and surprised to see so many vendors there. There were tables lining the entire hallway straight to the stairs, and then at the bottom of the stairs you could look down another hallway and see more tables lining either side, each table filled with gift items and knick-knacks. There was food, there were scented things, there were wall hangings, there were pieces of jewelry... there was just about everything there. Madison and Daddy went there because Madison's art teacher had a set-up there where kids could make their own spin-art. We sat down and put some sheets of paper on a pottery wheel, and got it spinning. Then came the different color inks, and Madison was pretty happy with the result. While it dried, the two of us were doing a bit of Christmas shopping for Mommy. Madison put some thought into what she wanted to get for Mommy, moving from table to table with a hand rubbing her chin in thought. Hmmm... what to get? Well, she did get something, but you just might have to wait to see what that is on Christmas Day. She was very proud of what she got, and when we got home, put it in a place to keep it hidden until Christmas.
Daddy was doing a bit of work today, and we were relaxing a little bit this afternoon as well. But we were back to the church late afternoon for a bit of fun, and some Headbanz.
There was a movie bash tonight, an event for the kids, and one with pizza involved as well. Madison and all the other kids had pizza, and there was time for a game or two before we all went into the auditorium. Here's Madison laughing at a kid who was struggling to come up with the answer.
They had fun tonight! The movie was "Teen Titans Go!" It was a fun movie and the kids were certainly laughing at it all the way through. The adults were sort of weary of the bathroom humor left and right. But in the end, everyone had a great time.
We got home and continued our reading, and went to bed at a pretty reasonable hour. We'll all get an extra hour of sleep tomorrow, and that's something wonderful to celebrate, right?
