The Gift 2018

Today we were back to see "The Gift" once more, something we've been doing since Madison was very little.  We went to see it at a place called "The Venue" at Friendship Springs, which is really not an ideal place to see things on stage, unless you're in the front row or perhaps a good two feet taller than the person in front of you.  Regardless, we enjoyed it as always.  Some aspects of the performance were the same as they've been since the beginning - certain routines are a tradition for us to see, and we're glad to see them again.

We've seen the choreography for "Angels We Have Heard on High" for years now, and it doesn't get old.   The part where the Wise Men come out on point is a special part of the Christmas season too.  The dancers put so much effort into this, and despite being fatigued, there's a lot of joy on the stage, and a lot of talent too.

The second act visits the Easter story, and has been streamlined somewhat over the years, but it's great to see.  It has some familiar portions, and some others we certainly miss.  But it's still a great thing to go see if you're able.

Our names have been on the program for years now as supporters, and it's not much, but we're happy to donate to a ministry as this.  There is so much heart poured into these productions, and it's an enjoyable thing to go out and see, not sheerly out of obligation, but because we do really love to see this year after year.

We did a lot of grocery shopping today, as there's a big holiday coming up in a week.  We got our turkey today, along with plenty of other food items for the big day, as well as our upcoming "Office Thanksgiving."

We were at Chick-Fil-A as well, having dinner together before heading home to watch a Christmas special - and then turn in early for the evening.  It was a good day today, and tomorrow will be a little busier, but we're having fun and enjoying the season!
