No Quarter No Mercy!

We started out the day at the chiropractor visiting Doc Williams, who once again straightened out my jaw. Which is still frankly amazing.  But Maddie was there too, as you can see above, and it was fun catching up there.  She still likes Doc Williams.  Afterwards, we headed over to the eye doctor to get Maddie some updated prescriptions for contacts and glasses.

In between we had some food at home and I got my treadmill work in, plus all the usual other chores.  Plus the added chore of shooting down all these juro spiders.  So many in front of the house - it was gross. Don't worry - they're gone now.

Amongst our chores were a whole lot of things to pack and get ready for our mini-trip.  We're heading up to Tennessee, and the big story is a hurricane that will be traveling up to see us right after we leave.  We're timing it just right, getting out of there just the day before the storm swiftly "barrels" up through Georgia and into Tennessee.  The weather should be good tomorrow, so we'll do our outdoor visit to Rock City at that time.  Should be fun!

We went over to taekwondo after that, and Maddie was having a great time as always.  She's getting more proficient with the sword, of course.  Afterwards, we were over at Aldi, where you're pretty limited if you don't have a quarter.

I mean, without a quarter, you can't get a shopping cart.  And without a shopping cart, you're carrying things around and you can only carry so much.  No mercy for us!  So yeah, we forgot the quarter.  Or the quarter has gone missing.  Either way, no quarter given.   No mercy!

No quarter given, no mercy!  So yeah, it's a pretty lame visit to Aldi if you don't have a quarter.  We actually wound up making two trips in from the car, going through, getting things and getting to the register twice and then loading up the car twice.  Super annoying!

Okay, moving on.  We got home, and we watched "Goosebumps 2" tonight, because these two movies are becoming some of our favorites this time of year.  We're still reading the Goosebumps book of short stories, but tonight's reading of course came from the Discworld and "Equal Rites."  We read for a good bit, and then said our prayers.  Time for some rest, because tomorrow is going to be a big fun day!
