"If I could just fix the hem of his garment."

Mom is seen here at practice tonight, fixing the hem of Jesus' resurrection outfit.  There's been a huge flurry of activity with this Easter production, but we're getting closer to Good Friday and our first performance, and things are looking really good right now.

This is Ami singing The Lord's Prayer at the Garden of Gethsemane, an idea I came up with a few months ago - you can see a few sleeping apostles there, myself included.  Jesus is on top of the rise there, praying earnestly "not my will but Yours be done."

The cross scene is going to be very powerful.  We ran through the production twice tonight, and it's getting better and better each time with movement and transitions.  The music had a little hangup tonight, but the actors, makeup, blocking, videos and lighting all looked really good.  Maddie's appearance within the first three minutes is pretty neat - she's there at Palm Sunday, fighting through the crowd to see Jesus.

It was a late night.  Tomorrow I'm making yet another run to Atlanta to pick things up, but tomorrow night we'll be doing our first production on Good Friday.  Maddie was at taekwondo tonight, and Chris Edge has been nice, bringing her back to the church so we could stay there for rehearsals.  They both got to see glimpses of the final production, with Chris' husband Bart playing one of the soldiers.  Some of the taekwondo classes will be there to see the production tomorrow, with Master Edge playing a Roman.  There is a huge KidPak influence here.  I've added a few things here or there to the production, including the garden scene and the "sounds of the cross" bit.  Pastor Lance is John the Beloved, who is narrating the entire thing - a big part.  Isaac will be Peter, and he's heading up a lot of the props as well.  Camille has been amazing, not only writing most of the dialogue, but also doing the super realistic - and awful - makeup for Jesus.  Daniel will be another Roman guard, driving Jesus along as he carries the cross.  Ivan, our head of music at KidPak, is playing the part of Jesus and is doing an unforgettable performance.  Our friend Dawn has had her dancers practicing and doing and incredible job with the choreography that she came up with for five or six different numbers.  And of course Mom is doing all the costumes throughout, dancers, apostles, Romans, and extras along the way.  All these people are KidPak, the children's ministry.  Yeah, everyone upstairs is going to a KidPak performance!

We got back home super late, but we still had time to read, and we still had time to pray of course.  It was a busy day, and we're all super tired.  But tomorrow is going to be powerful.
