KidPak this morning was a blast, as it has been this whole series. Every so often we do these sort of “underdog” series that turn out to be so much fun. The Star Wars series was great, but this one here has been one of the most solid things we’ve done at KidPak. Maddie was up there on stage this morning, and she didn’t have many lines, but she had a lot of fun with the rest of the cast. Next week, we’ll have the entire cast back - this week we were missing one. Next week, we can do a big group shot, something we haven’t done yet for this series.
We had a great skit today, and the games were fun, and the videos amazing. Josh has had a fully animated all-new series about a team of storm chasing cats, and yes, you read that right. Each week has been such a solid tie-in to the bottom line, as has the skit, as has the message spoken at the end. It’s just an all-around great morning, and we do it twice each Sunday morning.
Nana and Mom were there this morning, for the KidPak service first and then the main sanctuary service after that. On the way home, we stopped by and got a rotisserie chicken, even though it’s not National Rotisserie Chicken Day. We were going to get something to drink too, mainly because Maddie had a really nagging case of the hiccups! But that passed, I think with her holding her breath.
We got home, and she took a shower after we ate. She does that on Sunday afternoons. We beat Davy Jones with our game, with me playing as Davy Jones, which strongly supports the multiverse in the Pirates movies. Or doesn’t. Anyway, that was fun.
And then it was off to church tonight, back to FCY for another fun night with games, and small groups and with the large service too. They were talking about Holy Ground again, and about Mary. It’s been good. I was cutting out some items for the birthday party, and doing a bit of reading while Maddie was in service, as today I was super winded in the morning. I just felt like I was struggling to get oxygen, like I was on top of Pikes Peak or something. I forgot to take my blood pressure at that time, but I’m curious as to what’s going on. I didn’t do any exercise or walking today, but I’ll pick that up again tomorrow.
ANYWAY, Maddie had a great time over at FCY, and then it was time to head home afterwards. Nana and Mom were inside, as it was pretty hot out there, and they were watching their program as always, the one where a vet examines various exotic pets. It’s an ongoing series that Nana likes to watch.
We got home a little later, and we read tonight and prayed. Got together up early tomorrow, and hopefully Mom will be feeling better. She pinched a nerve and was struggling somewhat tonight. Hopefully tomorrow will be better...
