Grogu Chia

Here's our update on the Grogu Chia Pet, which you can see is growing rather nicely.  This one looks really nice and almost like a garden surrounding Baby Yoda there.  The other two are growing nicely too, Shrek and the Statue of Liberty.  We keep them outside beneath the canopy, unless the rain gets a little strong.  We haven't had any super strong storms yet, but we have had some much-needed rain recently, and that's good of course.

Madison's wrist is getting better each day, although she may have not helped things at taekwondo tonight. She was there with bandages wrapped around the wrist, put on there by Mom before she left.  The idea was to take it easy on her wrist, which she did for the most part.  There were moments though where she saw she had to dial it back a notch on the intensity of her work out.  But overall, she's healing.  And of course, she's loving her classes.  Tonight she was able to go to her leadership class, which starts earlier on Fridays, but wasn't something she could do previously because of her school schedule.  So tonight she had her two classes, and she just had a great time with it.

She was doing some housework with Mom today, cleaning up her own room and helping out somewhat around the house.  But LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean has been her deal as of late, as we're all into that series again.  Maybe it's the Port Royal documentary that spawned it for us.  Ironically, and I completely forgot this, there is a marina that is very close to us which is named Port Royal.  We pass by it every day.  It sounds like such a great name, and given the "Pirates" angle, there's even more romanticism attached to it.  However, a third of Port Royal was completely wiped off the face of the map in less than twenty minutes, and the rest of the city was so damaged that it festered until it became a piece of history.  The Spaniards were no doubt quite happy with the outcome.  Anyway, hopefully we won't see a similar disaster here on Lake Lanier, where a third of this local marina is swallowed up by an earthquake and tsunamis.  I think one thing in favor of our local Port Royal here is that it isn't a den of iniquity filled with thieving pirates.  At least, I don't think it is.  I haven't been there, so I can't say for certain.  In fact, we may need to investigate this right away.  Not that we're going to do anything about it.  In fact, I think that currently Lake Lanier is a bit boring with all the pontoon boats and jet skis.  There are so many of them on the lake right now, all lined up moving this way and that.  You can see them each time we cross the bridges.  If we added some pirate ships in there, I think that would be a great plus.

Okay, anyway, today I was working ahead - again - at KidPak and FCY, and it feels good to be ahead.  Tonight we did not watch any pirate movies, because "Bad Batch" was on tonight, and it was another great episode because of a baby rancor monster.  Rancor monsters make everything better.  True story.  We also watched "Raya and the Last Dragon," which was actually a really good movie.  Soon, we'll get out to the theaters to see these as they come out.  It's just Nana, to be honest.  We have to choose our battles.  In fact, summer is here and with it, the longing to actually go somewhere.  But we can't right now.  But we will eventually, and we'll make up for this lost time.

Tonight we read again, and tonight we said our prayers.  It was a good day today.
