Nightmare Puzzle

Tonight we started this puzzle, and from time to time we can be somewhat addicted to puzzles.  Nate was here, so suddenly there were four of us on top of this puzzle, looking for all the pieces together.

and by gum, tonight the four of us finished this puzzle!  As you can see here it is a Nightmare Before Christmas theme and on top of that it is a lenticular puzzle, a somewhat 3D effect which looks cool when done, and a little dizzying when close-up and trying to complete the puzzle.  To add to the fun, I put on a few vinyl records to go with theme, first of all the double vinyl soundtrack to "Nightmare Before Christmas."  Also, "Coco" and another record after that.  All the while, we were plugging away, getting in piece by piece.  Fun evening!

Nate was over for a good bit after school today - after Maddie's chapel service today.  Maddie and I stopped at Chick-Fil-A for lunch, and that was good.  We met a Free Chapel college student from a few years ago, and sat together.  Maddie enjoyed meeting Ariana.

We saw "Tron:  Legacy" today, and we'll probably watch the first "Tron" movie sometime this week or next, because this new sequel is coming out to theaters very soon.  Hopefully they'll pick up some loose threads and settle a lot of lingering questions from the last movie.  We'll see, but the four of us are probably going to see that one together.

We took Nate home after the puzzle, and his neighborhood is starting to really get the Halloween decorations up.  It's crazy how that's really gotten the last few years - it's almost as immense as Christmas decorations.  We drove around the neighborhood, enjoying some of the decorations before heading to Nate's.  One house had a two-story wolf man, and a sign saying "BEWARE OF WOLFMAN."

Getting home, of course we read from our "Jingo" book.  And the Plush Entourage went back to Maddie's room when we were done reading.  We said our prayers, and then it was time for sleep.  Today was our "on" day for supplements, and that seems to be going okay.  I'm having weird anxiety events for no apparent reason.  Time to get a little more sleep, right?
