Spooky Doughnut

Okay, I have a weakness for seasonal doughnuts with decorations related to whatever holiday is near.  In this case, these are just October sprinkles, but it's still a tasty doughnut.  Also, really not good for me!

It's a good thing I'm on this Corpse Bride marathon here, and look - another post card from the trail.  There's only one post card left as I near the end, but it's been good and fun, a great little tool to keep you moving along on the treadmill.

I was at Aunt Shain's place earlier, and she has some fun decorations out in her front yard, including a frog for Hannah, and a big pumpkin scarecrow.

Earlier, I said goodbye to Nana and Ye-Ye, who were off to Dollywood where we were just at.  They're going to see the decorations too, and go see a show as well.

Here's a skeleton rock band in our neighborhood, jamming for the neighbors.  Yards get more and more decorated for October these days, don't they?  Not this one, but some certainly overdo it, with some really horrible decorations out there that are not for kids at all.  Our neighborhood has maybe one of those, but for the most part it's kid-friendly, and that's the way we like it.  Despite that I'm born on Halloween, I just don't like super gory decorations.

We'll ride around when it gets nighttime and see what it all looks like!  In the meantime, I set up the fire pit tonight, and the three of us sat on the back deck doing puzzles and reading while keeping warm by the fire.  It was a cool night, and the fire felt nice.  The answer to Wordle was DETOX, which is funny because Mom and I are heavily into this program still, where we're taking supplements and making better choices.  Except for this choice.  But otherwise, things are getting better.  We're certainly losing weight and can feel the effects in some ways.

Our feature film tonight was a new one to us, the animated "Addams Family 2," which featured the family going on a vacation.  It was a fun movie, and apparently all part of our "Addams Family" week, where we're going through about four of these movies.

Afterwards, we were ready for sleep.  We read a bit from "Jingo," and things are moving along with that story too.  The Watch just might be heading over to Klatch, but I'm not sure.  I do know that Angua has been captured on a boat.  When she's free, I suspect that's not going to be pretty, if you know anything about her character.  We said our prayers after all this, and got to sleep.  It's been a nice day!
