Maddie was continuing with orientation week at the college, and part of that was a journey to a few different campuses for a brief tour at each. She and the other first-year students started out right here in Gainesville, and after that they went down to Braselton, and Gwinnett as well. They had lunch there, and given that these are campuses that Maddie's been to more than a few times, it wasn't much of a huge revelation sort of day. But it was fun hanging out with other students, and sort of getting kick-started on the school year. She's having a good time!
We got a few things done today with KidPak, marching towards the completion of this latest booklet for a new series. Tomorrow we should be able to wrap it up. I was working on skits and keynotes too, but I think tomorrow is the better day for that as well. We'll get it all done, no worries.
Until then, here's young King David, done in the style of a Pixar movie. The emotions have been inside his head all month long, and that will continue this week as they decide the best way to start David's Day.
I was doing my walking today, getting a that in again, and of course Mom and I are all about these latest supplements and detoxing agents. And diet. Certain things have to be taken at certain times, and so there's a timer involved, or at least both of us texting one another to be a reminder about this or that. It's a new thing, and it's been interesting.
We watched a movie tonight, "Furry Vengeance," which was safe, predictable fun. I mean, it wasn't a classic by any means, but it brought a few smiles, and a few laughs. Harmless, but fun. We also read tonight, finishing up "Men at Arms" at last. It was a really good book, we both thought, and we're ready to visit the Discworld again for another story probably tomorrow night. RIP Cuddy.
After all that, we said our prayers. We're fairly tired with the new schedule and all getting us up earlier. But it's all going well, and it's going to be a great year!
