Here's an interesting picture! Mom had a fragment of this old photo of George M Green, her paternal grandfather, a guy who pretty much disappeared. Ba-Ba is pictured above, as an infant of course. This is the only picture we had of Mom's grandfather, but the original version was just a cut-up, slightly blurred photo. With AI technology, I asked it to clean the photo up, making it more focused and less grainy. Mom was really surprised at the results. I mean, here's the original:
Anyway, pretty cool stuff. Mom shared this with her brother right away, so they both have a more focused image of their grandfather. But moving on, here's the news of the day:
Maddie joined the Free Chapel College today for an introductory service where all the students hung out together and sat together for service. You can see her in the back of this picture here above, a gathering place for the students before heading inside. It was the opening of the orientation week, which of course starts tomorrow in earnest. Maddie was up top for the second service - along with us - but we were downstairs for the KidPak service, which you can see below. Maddie took a lot of pictures for that, some of which I can share below:
Fun morning! So we got home and ate a good bit of the leftover food from yesterday, and after that it was clearly nap time! But we made time to do some LEGO Batman 2, and then of course did some housework, although not much there - we were definitely worn down. In fact, we knew we have to get up early tomorrow, so we started our movie a little earlier, "Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 3." That's such an emotional movie, but a strong ending to the series for certain.
We read from Discworld tonight, and then said our prayers. Time to get a good night's rest, as the first day of school is tomorrow!
