Back to Braselton

 

Here's my favorite date, my best friend sitting across from me at the Cracker Barrel here in Braselton.  We're on this diet, so as crazy as this sounds, I got a salad at Cracker Barrel.  That's right, a salad.  Surprisingly, it was really good.  I was really here for the atmosphere and the company - it was a nice little trip out.  We were down in Braselton to get that prop room cleaned up a good bit, as there's been a bunch of stuff randomly dumped in there by less organized folks.  But we did pretty well regardless!

It was a sunny day, although not quite as filled with heat as the previous weeks - the heat dome has moved on, and things are a bit more normal with the temperatures.  Still, you'll want to bring your chocolate out of the car and into the air conditioning.  We did that, of course, because it was Ghirardelli.  We're doing the 70% chocolate now, as it's the healthier choice.  I've always liked that dark chocolate, but now it's healthy chocolate, so that's cool!

Maddie spent the day drawing, and Minecraft videos, and eventually taekwondo tonight.  She did well there, of course, instructing and going for the leadership class as well.  She got to spend time with Nate, which is always a plus.

We got home later tonight, after Maddie spent a good bit of time with Nate afterwards.  We had time to play some LEGO Batman 2, and then time for prayers - and sleep.
