Hummingbirds

Mom has been setting up the hummingbird feeder in the front yard these past two summers, and it's nice seeing the birds visit from the front porch.  Sometimes we'll have two at a time there, both sharing the feeder, which is fairly remarkable given how competitive they can be.

It's been a quiet day.  We had taekwondo tonight, and that was nice for Maddie.  Mom and I were grocery shopping, as we have company coming to visit tomorrow.  We got some cheeses, which will be fun for a snack upcoming.  Mom's got ideas there.  Meanwhile, we've been doing a lot of cleaning up around the house, getting cobwebs, mopping floors, moving things about.  

Maddie's been drawing, and watching videos - this outside of her time at taekwondo.  Tonight we watched part one of a Discworld movie:  "Going Postal."  I've ready this one, but Maddie hasn't heard it yet.  The version is actually pretty good.  We'll have to check out part two soon enough.  

Of course, we read from that same world tonight, racing to the end of this book to find out whodunnit.  We've got a dead clown and a dead dwarf, and host of suspects.  We'll find out soon enough what's going on, as we follow Captain Carrot and his team.  It's been a good read.

We said our prayers, and tucked in everybody.  And now... it's time for some sleep.  All is well here.
