Down in Atlanta

Atlanta Marriott Northwest isn't really impressing us at the moment.  We started out in one room, and the after the AC guy visited us and thought he fixed it because the tubing inside the panel wasn't completely attached, then it started not working again, and so some time after ten we're all moving down to another room and that one is nearby the pool where there are dozens of kids screaming and having a great time just outside our room.  But at least it's cool, and maybe those kids will go to bed soon.

Anyway, all that annoyance aside, Maddie's having a great time with her friends down here.  She was at the pool earlier with her friends from Edge, and they were cooling off in the water before heading back to their rooms for a bit.  Later on, she was joining them for dinner - one of the moms was super nice and got everyone pizza.  The team members were sitting together, relaxing and enjoying time together.

This is her first competition, and ours too, really.  It'll be interesting - tomorrow morning we're getting up pretty early to head over to the location.  The kids outside finally stopped screaming at the pool, but Maddie can sleep through quite a bit.

It was an easy drive down here.  I-285 was a mess as always, but we weren't on it for too far, and in fact Maddie got some directions on her phone that took us a few little backroads to make it quicker.

It was a good day today.  We had a Summer Xtreme meeting that was pretty productive, and oh boy... can you believe we caught squirrel #83 this morning?  Yeah.  They've been acrobats lately, otherwise I'd be more patient.  But they keep jumping up and knocking things around.  Crazy.

Okay, anyway, it's time for bed.  We read tonight, a bit of a short story with Willrow Hood.  The orange jump suit and the ice cream maker!  After that, all the shifting rooms and hopefully a good night's rest...
