Maddie was at church tonight, and taekwondo too. Yeah, things are getting close with the competition, so before church tonight, Maddie was with Team Edge, all of the students running through the same bits over and over again, practicing for their demo. "Practice Makes Permanent" is the slogan for Team Edge, and it's been working for them. They're having a good time, but it's a lot of work too. Afterwards, we headed over to FCY. Her friend Noadiah was there tonight, and she was enjoying her company. They're a good group of students.
We were working towards Summer Xtreme, and the idea is going to be a fun one. There's a sudden freeze that hits a tropical resort, one called Tropical Breeze. The skit team has to figure out what's going on, and rescue others along the way who were trapped on the island during the sudden freeze. It should be fun. We've been meeting about it frequently, and there are a lot of ideas for games and so forth. We've been doing some of the games, practicing things and seeing if they'll work. They've been messy and fun. You'll see in a few weeks when we do Summer Xtreme.
Thus far for Forward, I don't have too many responsibilities, but that usually changes a lot. Right now I am a robot voice again, the voice behind "Cyber Simon." It's a massive "Simon Says" game for all the people there at Forward. I think I'll be spending a lot of time at Forward in the background working towards Summer Xtreme, which makes for a busy few weeks.
Maddie is relaxing though, outside of the evening's plan. She's in Stardew Valley, and she's learning to cook some with Mom. Tonight we watched a few episodes of Monk, really starting to wrap up the entire series. It's been good, and Maddie has loved it quite a bit. We started this a year or so ago, just to go along with the forensics class. It's become an addiction!
Anyway, tonight we said our prayers and we read. It's been a decent day. Busy season!
