Tightrope

Madison officially made the call to play "Tightrope" at the upcoming piano recital.  This means a couple things, one of which being that we're about to hear a piano version of that practiced over and over again for the next several weeks.  Already, I have the song stuck in my head.

One of the other songs from "The Greatest Showman" is "Never Enough," which another girl from her piano class will be playing.  Hopefully there's a circus theme going on this spring.  But if not, at least this class is on the way to having one.

It was cold today - really cold.  It was just feeling that way due to the fact that we were all expecting the temperature to continue to rise towards spring time, and then suddenly we all collectively had the rug pulled out from beneath us.  The wind is what made it tough.

Speaking of tough:  traffic.  For the past few weeks, the construction on the bridges between Hall and Forsyth County has continued, and it's sort of a random experience as to which road will feature an immense back-up.  Daddy chose poorly this morning, going down Browns Bridge Road.  It took over an hour to go eleven miles.  Thank you, GDOT, for warning us on that one.  Oh wait.  You didn't.

Madison did her piano class tonight, and did her piano homework beforehand, sounding better and better.  She's also doing history homework writing down the names of significant leaders from the past, from the Civil War all the way to World War II.  Also, she did a bit of math in there too.

Baby Groot is completely covered up by the greenery now, as the sprouts have grown vertically, and Groot is now in a forest of green.  I suspect he likes it that way.

We watched another chapter of "A Series of Unfortunate Events" tonight, part three of the first eight-part season.  Mommy and Daddy have already watched this season, but Madison has not.  She loves the baby, but she requested watching this again when we got home from piano.  So we squeezed it in. We also squeezed in another few chapters about CJ Hook.

This book is called "CJ's Treasure Chase," and although it features some of the other Descendants characters, it's obviously mostly about the daughter of Captain Hook.  She's mostly out for herself, which is interesting.  We'll see where this leads to, but presently the book is not that bad in the way it is written.  Mommy and Daddy are into it as well, but we like a lot of kids' books just as much as the other ones we're reading.

Anyway, after prayer and zerberts, just like that, another day was done.  To quote Montgomery Montgomery, "Time flies like a winged lizard."
