Fifth Grade Art Gallery

Oh boy, this one's tough.  This is the last art gallery for elementary school, and just like that we're here already.  It seriously doesn't seem like that long ago when we were looking at the kindergarten pictures, finding Madison's, and saying, "Someday, we'll be all the way over there with the fifth grade pictures."  And now we're there!  Here below is a collection of the pictures of the last six years, of Madison each year for the art gallery day:

We shared this with Mrs. Hubbard, her art teacher, and got this response:

Mrs. Hubbard has been one of Madison's favorite teachers.  The two have been working on the yearbook, and of course the enrichment classes after school.  She was talking about this being the final one for Madison tonight, not in a mean way, but the next thing you know, Madison was tearing up.  It's just been a wonderful season for her.

After the visit to the gym to pick up our artwork, we parted ways.  Madison and Mommy went to piano and Mrs. Pam, while Daddy went to Little Mill Middle School.

And here we go!  This was an orientation, but Madison had her piano class tonight, and she already missed last week because of ballet.  So Daddy went tonight, taking notes, and taking pictures as well.

Madison was anxious to see the pictures when we got home together.  She got to see her new hall (above), the gym, the cafeteria, and all kind of club information.  She'll be dropping by soon enough to check it out, but today was good for us to get a glimpse of what is to come.  It's like a miniature high school, and although it's a bit bigger, there will be familiar faces at the school.  Also, the teachers and staff there seem really friendly.  It'll be here before you know it - just like the end of fifth grade snuck up on us...
