"Frozen" and Ice Creams

Spring is here, and I'm not sure if these two are related, but the first day of Spring is also Free Ice Cream Day at Dairy Queen.  That said, guess where we went before we went to ballet tonight?  Yes, we were at Dairy Queen, as you can see clearly above.  Madison and Daddy stopped by for a cone just before heading back to Brenau.  I wish I had a timer out to see how long it took for Madison to eat this thing, because it was quicker than some of those statistics you read about piranhas.

ANYWAY, this morning, Daddy was off to work to do a few things, and Mommy is doing such an outstanding job with that one costume.  Can't wait to post it here!

Madison - and all of us - slept in this morning.  After a night like that, yes please.  The storms were a little loud, but it was all mostly from a distance. We didn't get the hammering that other counties got. Instead, we got a good night's rest the remainder of the evening.  For that, we were thankful in our prayers this morning!

Tonight, we got there and after about an hour and fifteen minutes, Madison came out to do her routine with the other girls, and after about five minutes, they were done for the evening.  Yep.  Just like that.

Daddy snapped a few pictures of the event, but that was pretty much it for us tonight.  Normally, we'd stay and watch or help out, but fatigue from last night was a huge factor, and we just wanted to get home.

When we got home, it was early enough to watch another episode of "A Series of Unfortunate Events," so why not?  We're almost through season one.  Madison is learning some new words along the way, as any fan of the series would be familiar with.

Anyway, we went to bed shortly after this, reading about CJ Hook some more, and from the devotional.  Daddy is nearly done with these intro pages, working on them even more tonight.  We've been talking with the teacher from her elementary school, and it's all coming together soon.  Deadlines are looming!  But Daddy is hopefully helping out with pictures and of course these layouts.  Madison has quite a few drawings in this booklet too, at least on the intro pages.  She'll look back on this later, and hopefully smile about it!

The wind is howling tonight, and the weather is going to turn cold again.  Spring is here, but the temperature wasn't told about this.  It sounds like we'll have some freezing temperatures soon enough, later in the evening.  Yikes!  Good snuggle weather, but folks will be happy to see this winter go.  It sort of lingers like a house guest that isn't quite getting the hint that it's bedtime.

Speaking of which... goodnight!
