Porco Rosso

Tonight we squeezed in another Miyazaki movie, one called "Porco Rosso."  We can't say enough about these movies - we love them.  This one was no exception.  The cover and very premise seems unusual, but then again, what Miyazaki movie seems normal?  Regardless, once you get into the movie, it's hard to look away.  You just go along for the journey, and in this case, the flight, and just fall into an amazing world with wonderful characters and incredible artwork.

We had "Frozen" practice today, which went on for a while.  Also, there was a parent meeting, which basically is the same parent meeting we see for every one of these recitals and performances, going over the calendar and getting certain things down.  We've heard it all before, but we were there, and Madison was dancing, and yes, we're coming up on a pretty busy season for her with tech week and the production itself.  It'll be here before you know it.  Glad we got tickets, actually.

We were home for a while today, and here's what Mommy was working on:

She's still going on the costuming, and in fact was still doing that into the night.  While Madison was dancing, we were out looking for accessories, and finding success in getting certain items.  It's all coming together nicely, although it's a good bit of work for Mommy today.

We were helping in a limited sort of way, spray painting a belt gold or making tea, but it's been Mommy doing all the work.  We were sharing pictures with the cast throughout the day, and they're all pretty excited!
