Wheezing the Juice

This morning, Madison got her Certificate of Awesomeness.  Although, we did give this certificate to all the kids at church.  We were talking about the Tribe of Benjamin, which is "like a wolf."  For the skit, we talked about the "three wolves howling at the moon" shirt, and it's mystical powers.  It's all a joke, of course.  And the kids don't have to necessarily get the meme behind the t-shirt to understand the message behind the skit, that confidence comes from within, and not from any placebo shirt.

So... one more day until Summer Xtreme.  It will be a long and tiring week.  Madison will have a great time, of course.  All the kids will.  But of course we hope there is more to it than that.  We're hoping to make a great impact for the kids.  So to that extent, it's a late night working, working, working.  There'll be time to rest later - yes, we'll be quite exhausted this time next week.

Until then, it's back to work.  Fortunately, across the street there is Sodapalooza.  For $8.00, we got this large plastic cup that you can refill over and over again until July 31st.  It's right across the street.  UNLIMITED SLUSHIES... RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET.

That means we've been "wheezing the juice," to quote the great Stanley "Stoney" Brown.  Madison, Daddy and Mommy frequently come home together, passing by the gas station across the street and filling up the Sodapalooza cup with some cool refreshing liquid munchines.  Madison is a huge slushie fan, but who isn't?  She'll sit in the back, and slurp down as much as she can before Mommy and Daddy want a turn.  But we also fill the cup up with the Arnold Palmer mix, and a whole variety of other things, mostly various teas.  One extremely useful thing is the energy drink mix they've got - Daddy needs that for this week, that's for sure!
