Quick Draw Artist

Maddie did this in what, ten minute?  Something super quick.  I think she was trying her skill as a quick-draw artist.  She did pretty well!

So we were at the hospital again today, really getting to know room 8067.  Nana has now been there eight days, and it's clear she's spending the weekend there too.  There may be an exit strategy for Monday.  Right now she's doing okay, gradually better, conversational and perhaps a little bored.  We have some of those channels on her television, the ones that show relaxing scenes and music.  Although we did have some tennis and golf on too.  Also some programs with animal rescues. 

We got home, and yeah, I was racing to get to the car line.  I thought to get there a little early, and if I ever get there that early last year, I'd be in the front of the school by the front door.  Today?  I was already back towards the exit of the parking lot.  By 3pm, forty minutes to go, the car line went out of the school parking lot.  By the time we left, the line was down the road to Keltic Point, a neighborhood a mile away from the school.  Wow!  I spent the time in line writing and reading.  

Speaking of school, Maddie is now in forensics class, a science class for this year.  She's just getting started, so in that spirit of things, we're starting the series "Monk" with her, one we've watched entirely through before, but without Maddie.  I think she's hooked already.  She enjoyed the first episode, season one.  And here we go!

We've been crazy busy lately.  Lots of drives to the hospital, each day.  We'll do it again tomorrow, too.  Tonight after watching television a bit, we read from "Leia" and said our prayers.  It's time for some sleep!
