Valentine's Day 2023

Valentine's Day was fun today, although a work and school day.  But this morning Mom woke up to this little surprise on the kitchen table.  Maddie and I got the flowers last night, and we've both had these Valentine's Day cards for Mom for a while now - Maddie got her the 3-D hedgehog one.  We got her a movie, some chocolates (the Godiva ones reminded us of our early days going by the Godiva shop at the mall), and also a bird house that says "Love Shack."  It was pleasant, and Maddie got a few thing too, including a new Ahsoka Thano Pop figure that is themed to Valentine's Day, and also Jabba's throne room with Boba Fett and Fennic Shand seated upon it.

Tonight we furthered the celebration with a feast from the local Chinese restaurant, and Mom got me a few things too, including some new Star Wars themed soap, which I love by the way, and some new scented shampoo, all from this same company online that makes pretty good stuff.  Also an Elvis CD, "A Valentine Gift for You."  We watched a movie tonight, "Miss Congeniality," which Maddie enjoyed for the first time, and just had a nice day really.  Maddie looked great this morning, doing her hair up nicely, and it was a nice quiet holiday. 

She made some nice cards in school pretty fun ones!  Each one turned out really great - plus a bookmark too, one we'll use for our Discworld book.  We were reading tonight, and got to try out the new bookmark.  The story is moving along quickly now, and it's a great world, the Discworld.  Something is certainly off in "Reaper Man," but our heroes will no doubt get things right again.  Afterwards, we said our prayers, and were off to sleep.  It's been a good Valentine's Day!
