Last Weekend in Narnia

We had our last visit in Narnia for a while, this morning's bonus service a really fun mix of football and Narnia, and as mentioned earlier, Maddie brought up the idea of having a fun twist on "Fantasy Football," so we had a few Narnians on the team being put together.  Originally, Jadis was going to be quarterback, and she might still be in future editions.  Anyway, you can see the front line here, Dumbrick the Dwarf, Puddleglum the Wigglemarsh, and Mr. Tumnus the Faun.  We're proving our football abilities here with a New Zealand Haka, which was just about as absurd as you can imagine.  And loud too.

Apparently we can sing opera too.

Maddie, Sklyar and Jeremiah were in the skit as well, discussing their team and what it takes to win, and Mrs. Beaver made another appearance behind the mountain to tell everyone stats and of course our bottom line.

It was a really fun morning, and a good lead-in to Super Bowl Sunday.  Our message was on prayer, putting on the full armor and talking to God about the playbook for life.  It was super fun today, and as a bonus, Mom was there, as she'll be from this point on each Sunday, largely.  That was so nice to see!

We got home and that was that.  It was a full day, and we had a full night last night, so we opted to stay home the rest of the day.  There were things to do, like homework and eat rotisserie chicken.  And Mom and I were wanting to wrap up the "Back to the Future" trilogy with part three, which we both really like.  Maddie was watching too, but she's seen it before and she was really anxious to catch up on the latest two episodes of "The Bad Batch," which were really good!

It was a good day today, which is any day we can do great things at KidPak.  Our morning was so solid, and the rest of the day was rest... and catching up.  We did some minor things, like taking other Christmas items downstairs and rearranging the basement somewhat to pack everything up.  But at the end of the day, we read from the Discworld and we said our prayers.  Morning will come early again, and following that another full day with school and even taekwondo.  Tonight it is cold, and we were all under those blankets early, ready for a good night's rest.
