So here it is, this year's entry for our spooky gingerbread house! This afternoon we got back from taekwondo and Mom had all the ingredients put out. Mom and I came up with an idea for the roof, and if you look closely at the tiles on that roof, it's made of Booberry cereal! We had the movie "Ghostbusters" playing in the background as Maddie and I set to work on this new housing project, complete with a graveyard and pumpkin patch. Mom was sure to get some extra edible eyeballs for us, so there are plenty peepers peeking out. It actually took us a few hours to do this, sort of watching the movie while putting it all together, and the end product came out pretty good, I think! Here are some more pictures of our spooky gingerbread house:
Maddie did have work with Team Edge today, and that was a good day. She did a successful V-kick, after much practice and hard work all this time, and she was fairly proud of that. Afterwards, we went over to get some boba tea before heading back to the house.
She did a little homework today, and I spent a good bit of time working on my skit for tomorrow, a little late due to some writer's block. But it got done, and there's a pretty funny joke in there that I'm happy about. I think it'll be a fun day tomorrow.
We watched "Andor" tonight, the new Star Wars series that dropped this week, starting off with three episodes that were pretty tough and gritty. It's a slow build, but it has our attention and should be good moving forward. We'll have to wait to see "Rings of Power" tomorrow. Yesterday was Marvel, today Star Wars, and tomorrow Lord of the Rings. It's such a geeky season for television!
Anyway, it was a good day. We read tonight, and we said our prayers as well. It was a decent day today, a cooler one outside, and a perfectly pleasant fall Saturday.
