Maddie took this photo and it looks really nice! Our hibiscus plant on the back deck is blooming and looking quite nice, although soon we'll have to bring it in. The hummingbirds used to visit this flower and the feeders too, but they're moving on for the year to warmer weather. Things are comfortable now, but winter is certainly coming soon. Leaves are starting to change and the weather is getting a tiny bit cooler. Nothing cold yet, but just you wait!
We were at the chiropractor here, and you can see Maddie... oh wait. You can't. She's under that bean bag, waiting to jump out and surprise Dr. Williams. Our previous visit had him beneath the bean bag, and yes, he jumped up and completely got Maddie.
After getting home, we packed a bit for our upcoming trip, at least for a moment or two. Maddie and I went to the dentist, seeing Maddie's dentist for a routine check-up. She did just fine - no cavities!
We had taekwondo tonight, and that was fun of course. We'll be missing a few dates in the coming weeks, but she's going to do her best to show up when she can, and those days she's not here she won't fret about. It's a journey and not all about the destination - the goal is still getting to a second degree belt sometime next year, and when that comes it comes.
Tonight we read, and we said our prayers. It's a busy time for me with writing and all the things related to KidPak, as whenever you go on vacation you basically have to double your work output just to get out the door. But out the door we're going, and it's going to be nice.
