Spider-Stone

Maddie was in the kitchen studying as always, when I sent this image to her.  I heard her laugh - it's her stone that she painted this weekend, the one like Spider-man.  Spider-stone is now web slinging and soaring through New York, or some city like that, probably chasing after Green Goblin Stone, or perhaps Electro Stone.

She usually studies in the dining area, right after dinner.  She sort of expands her study kingdom across the dining room table, puts headphones on, has her videos playing and goes on watching, talking with friends, and studying.

Meanwhile, Mom and I were out there with the hummingbird ring again, and this time we had all kinds of success.  No pictures, but the hummingbirds were coming right up to us and drinking from the flower ring on our finger, even sitting there perched on my hand for a bit, relaxing and taking a great long sip.  It takes a lot of patience and being still, but it's also a nice meditative activity that helps with stress and so forth.

Speaking of which, Nana has been watching the monarchy situation in England fairly closely.  We've learned a lot about the monarchy this week, but through it all, there has been a lot of intense respect for the Queen.  The Elizabethan Era is over now, and it's one of those things we've taken for granted, as if we'd always be in the Elizabethan Era.  She was a decent human being, and there are thousands and thousands of people lined up to pay their last respects to the location where she lays in state.

Tonight Mom wanted to watch the first "Men in Black" movie again, and this may lead to the other two of course.  It's a seasonal movie - we'll be watching more and more of these as we get closer to October 31st. There are a lot to see though!

It was Taco Tuesday, and the tacos were mighty tonight!  Mom is cooking grilled chicken for us too, so we're doing that as well, although Maddie has her usual beef tacos with a whole lot of salsa and hot sauce on top.

It was a nice day.  I got some writing done today, finishing up booklets for "The Quest" and getting ahead elsewhere.  I've been listening to 90's Christian ska bands for some reason, and I am loving this revisit to the past.  We've got plenty of CDs from Christian bands in the 90's, and my collection keeps growing too.  Love that era of music.

Anyway, it was a good day.  We closed up with reading another chapter from our latest book, and then after that, prayers.  Time for some rest!
