Maddie saw Jingle Bell this morning, and with an embarrassing grin she said, "I'm not going to comment on that one."
It was a busy day with school, and with Christmas production work. It's also a colder day today, the sort of day that catches you off guard after all the warmer weather of late. Going outside without a jacket is a mistake, as many of us have done this morning. In and out of the church, I spotted coworkers and just people in general out and about all shivering because the cold came so unexpectedly for us. Yes, we could have watched the weather... but yeah, we didn't. There was an interesting thunderstorm that also came with the change of weather, a lot of December thunder that isn't typical for this time of year. There was a good bit of torrential rainfall too, which I suppose is needed given the sporadic rainfall amounts that have come down of late.
We've just been working - all of us. There was a rehearsal tonight for the Christmas production, so I got home a little later. Tonight we had enough time to watch Shirley Temple's "Babes in Toyland" with Jonathan Winters (and more!), and it's a funny version all done on live television, back when that was a more common thing. We read tonight, and we were off to bed early, as tomorrow is going to be a huge day with practice and so forth. The production is coming very, very soon...!
