So the Trade Federation showed up this morning, and evidently there's been a trade dispute, because quite a few battle droids and tanks had Jingle and friends surrounded at the base of the Star Wars tree there. Hopefully the negotiations will be short.
No Team Edge practice today. We all slept in some, which felt odd for Maddie as she was used to getting up to go to Team Edge practice these past few months every Saturday for a few hours.
As Uncle George was here, there was a bit of just sitting about and talking, listening to Christmas music, catching up, watching a few Christmas specials, and just a general spending time together. We did get out to see a movie this afternoon, a really good one - "Spiderman: Far From Home."
This movie pays tremendous respect to the previous Spider-man movies dating back twenty years or so, and pulled everything together in such a fantastically wonderful way. It was just what everyone needed before Christmas, at least the Spider-man fans anyway. We've got a long history with Spider-man here, and Maddie says that's her favorite hero, along with the Scarlet Witch too of course. We reserved the seats in the back and got a whole lot of popcorn and drinks, settling in for a fairly long movie. It is a nicer theater - one we haven't been to since last year on New Year's Eve in fact.
We got home, and of course we were eating and socializing some more. Uncle George brought some great Christmas gifts for all of us, including an Alligator Loki t-shirt for Maddie, and a "Save the Clock Tower" t-shirt for me.
We had some Christmas movies playing tonight, and were doing a bit of prepping for tomorrow's KidPak services. It was a nice relaxing day - just one more week until Christmas!
