Holiday Fun

Tonight we watched "The Grinch" again, but this time on an inflatable screen with the movie projected upon it in our KidPak auditorium.  The end result was nice - we've always done our "movie bash" using the existing screens, but this was something different that really worked out nicely.  We had a great turnout, with lots of kids, and lots of popcorn and candy too.  And as you can see above, Joe and Camille did a fun job decorating the stage for Christmas in Neverland.  The lights will stay on the whole time, and it makes for a festive atmosphere on stage.

Speaking of "festive," look who is coming to town!  Jingle Bell and Snowflake came riding in on a sleigh drawn by a six-pack of Maddie's favorite ginger beer reindeer, with a Rudolph Coke can to lead the way, complete with a red nose!

It was a very full day.  Maddie was at school, of course, but while there, there was a Wisdom Club luncheon at the church that was pretty massive.  It was big because we were having it again, something we haven't done since 2019.

Jason Crabb was there, and more importantly, Nana and Mom were there (you can see Nana and Mom seated towards the left).  There were plenty of people there to enjoy the day.  I love this opportunity to serve folks - the KidPak crew was there, making plates of delicious holiday food for everyone.  Mom and Nana went through my line, so Joe, Camille, Lance and I were happy to put some food and their plates - along with everyone else.  And then afterwards, a concert performance by Jason Crabb too.  It was a great time for everyone involved, a really nice holiday event.  And look at this picture of Mom and Nana together on a horse drawn carriage in front of the church!

Maddie had her taekwondo tonight, and right after that, she made it to the KidPak movie night just in time.  It was a pretty full day!  We got home, and joined Mom and Nana watching the live performance of "Annie," and right in the middle of my favorite song too.  Afterwards, bedtime.  We were zonked.  I read a bit from our book, and then we prayed, and then we were all ready for a long winter's nap.
