Cotton Headed Ninny Muggins

Jingle Bell was a conn ton headed ninny muggins this morning.  Literally!  There was cotton all over his head, and as you can see above, the others were looking on at this ninny muggins.  I'm sure this too will pass.

Tonight we watched a few things on Christmas Eve Eve, one of them being a play we bought a ticket for online, one with an old friend of ours doing several different roles:  Christmas Past, Mrs. Cratchett, and even the solicitor for the poor.  Actually, I think there were about eight cast members in all doing the story of a Christmas Carol.  We were too far from North Carolina to see Karen in these roles, but when we heard we could purchase a virtual ticket, we went with that.  It was a shorter production, a little under an hour, so we watched the movie "Nativity!" after that, always one of our favorites.

It's Christmas Eve Eve, which means the clock is running down on a lot of things.  I'll be out with the throng of shoppers tomorrow doing a bit of last-minute things.  Today we said our last minute "Merry Christmas" greetings at the office, as everyone is taking tomorrow off.  Camille gave us some gifts - we got her a few things over the season, including some paper craft creations and a few nutcrackers to add to her collection.

Mom and Nana were out shopping for quite a bit of time today, and that left Maddie HOME ALONE!

She sent this picture from home at one point to prove she really was home alone.  Although I don't think there was any evidence of Wet Bandits out there.

It was a busy sort of day like those just before Christmas tend to be.  We read tonight, and we prayed, and it's hard to believe, but here we are already at the door to Christmas, about to walk in.  This season goes by so fast, and this year in fact seemed faster than most.  Nevertheless, here we go, getting ready for Christmas!
