Maddie spent much of the day down a few exits from here drinking bubble tea and doing some shopping with one of her good friends from school. She loves that bubble tea, slurping on it still loudly when she got home. She really had a great day today, as they just hung out together, going off shopping and visiting a bookstore where Maddie used a gift card she got for Christmas. It was a super nice day out together, a much-needed outing for several hours, and we were glad she could enjoy her time together with a friend.
We had a decent day today, keeping Nana busy and watching a few things like this new movie about Louis Wane, a guy who did all of these paintings of cats. I recognized some of the images, but I had no idea about this guy's life story. Interesting and well done movie, although tragic in so many respects.
When Maddie was home, we watched "Encanto" together, which was also good, with some great music to it. Maddie said she liked that one a lot. I don't think she would have enjoyed the other one with the cat paintings though!
It was a decent day. We're sort of trapped here, but we're getting a few things done around the house, and doing the best we can. We said our prayers tonight, and soon after reading, we were off to sleep.
